“My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame. But wholly lean on Jesus name. On Christ the solid Rock, I stand – all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand.”

With all the shifting going on in society I am thankful for Jesus, my solid rock! I can only speak of our nation, and I am burdened for our country, but knowing Jesus allows me to live with hope! There are so many seeking to influence our great nation in a negative way and to seek to redesign the republic. I am becoming more, and more, aware that we are living in the final days of this dispensation and the return of Christ is imminent. With this environment what are believers to do? In the present tense we must do what all our believing forefathers did and that was to live by ‘faith’ and not by ‘sight’.

The celebration of the resurrection this weekend reminds me that our faith is not in someone who is in the grave but ONE WHO IS ALIVE! While so much of the world seems to be in panic mode I am rejoicing in my victorious JESUS! I am celebrating the words of Jesus on the cross when He said, “It is finished”. Those words tell me that our sin debt is “paid in full” with His substitutionary, and atoning, death on the cross. His resurrection affirms that the Father accepted His sacrifice and His blood as atonement for our sins.

The words spoken in Matthew 28:5-6 to Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, as they visited the tomb on Sunday morning, following the earthquake that rolled the stone away from the tomb, are words of VICTORY! “And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. HE IS NOT HERE; for he is risen, as he said, COME, SEE THE PLACE WHERE THE LORD LAY (pass tense).” The Bible then tells us that the angel told them to go quickly and share the news.

With all the bad news that is being shared, twenty-four hours a day, it is the responsibility of believers to share the ‘good news’ of Jesus Christ. I am telling believers it is time to share the ‘good news’ and live like we are a victorious, and happy, people. If you’re glad that Jesus is your Lord, and Savior, live like it. If the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is truly your hope, your solid rock, live like it!
